The Laccio Table Set by Marcel Breuer is the beautiful result of the designer’s extensive experimental work with tubular steel. The high-quality materials and sleek, sturdy construction make this a really sought-after piece of Bauhaus design.

Created in 1925, the functional design of the Laccio Table Set is the result of Breuer’s interest in modular construction and eye for simple uncluttered forms. The table tops are produced in a high-grade black-painted wood with a metal base. The long coffee table and the higher smaller side table complement each other beautifully.

Cuberious produces this classic in handcrafted black- or white painted plywood and chromed steel.

Marcel Breuer (1902-1981)

Marcel Lajos („Lajkó “) Breuer (* May 21st, 1902 in Fünfkirchen, Austro-Hungary; † July 1st, 1981 in New York) was a German-American architect and designer of Hungarian-Jewish origin.

After carpenter apprenticeship at Bauhaus Weimar Breuer worked in the office of Walter Gropius for several years, but then became independent. In 1933 he emigrated from the Third Reich due to his Jewish origin and moved via Hungary and London into the USA.

There he established, among other things, the Architecture Faculty of the Harvard University in cooperation with Gropius.
